Ah-Lan Dance recently took part at the Chinese New Year celebration and performance at the State Government Building in San Francisco. Ah-Lan Dance offered several dances as well as hulusi performance.

Ah-Lan Dance’s recent performance at the American Chinese Cultural and Art Association’s Christmas fundraiser at the Chinatown Hilton was featured in the San Francisco Chronicle, including a great photo of our beautiful dancers and a special mention of “Mulan Removes Her Armor” from our upcoming 2015 Gala show!

This Gala show will conclude with a newly-designed rendition of the famous Chinese legend of Mulan, with original choreography by Ah-Lan.
Ah-Lan Dance will offer an exciting retelling of the ancient story of the devoted daughter Mulan, who dressed as a man and joined the army to help her aging father escape forced conscription in a time of national emergency.
The dance will evoke the remarkable story of Mulan’s victories on the battlefield, her triumphant return home and her touching devotion to her family in a colorful and enegetic spectacle that all ages can enjoy!
